Local Author launches new book here at Idyl

Local Author, Catherine Warnock, will be launching her new book “Hot Tips for Cool Parents”, here at Idyl Book Cafe on October 22nd at 6pm, and would love you all to come along and help her celebrate. Light refreshments will be provided and signed copies of Catherine’s book will be available for purchase. I’ll quickly remind you that Idyl is located at 64 Faithfull Street and we would love to see lots of support for our often unacknowledged local talent.

Self-confessed non-perfect parent Catherine Warnock is on a mission.

From her own parenting mistakes, triumphs, observations and discussions with other mums and dads, Catherine has come to the conclusion that parenting is about much, much more than raising kids.

First and foremost it’s about raising US, the parents! After all, what we say, do and think is the food of our children’s minds and souls.  They lap it all up then follow our lead!

So what are we saying, doing and thinking? And how does it affect our kids?

“Hot Tips for Cool Parents” explores the big picture of parenting; offering practical ideas and encouraging us to really think about what it takes to raise well balanced, happy, responsible and…well…totally AWSOME kids!
